Gardner Elementary School -Bacon Construction, serving as the General Contractor, has recently started construction on the $70,000,000 Gardner Elementary School in Gardner, MA.  The new school, will consolidate Pre-K through 4th grade into a 147,120 SF facility. The Z-shaped building complex will be situated on approximately 16 acres of wooded hillside terrain and will consist of two three floor wings and a 2 floor wing connected at each level with a hallway. This configuration allows for separate learning environments for different age groups with community spaces, such as the gym and media center located in the central building.

Since 1967, the Agostini family has had an excellent reputation for building various types of commercial and educational facilities in both the public and private sectors. Founded in 1967 by John Agostini, the Agostini Companies have been under the direction and primary ownership of John’s son, George L. Agostini since 1984. Now entering its third generation, the Agostini companies are run with a hands-on management approach to ensure that all clients directly benefit from the family’s wealth of experience and expertise.

George Agostini is President of Bacon Construction and Chief Executive Officer of Agostini Construction. He is personally involved in every project and visits the job sites frequently.

Steven Agostini, George’s son, joined his father in the family business in 1981 and serves as Chief Operating Officer of Bacon Construction and President of Agostini Construction. Steven is also personally involved in every project and visits job sites frequently. He also works directly with the owners’ representatives, the Project Manager and the Field Superintendent daily. Steven has a degree in Civil Engineering from the nationally recognized Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.

WESTPORT, Mass. (WJAR) — Some students in Massachusetts can look forward to walking into a brand new school this year.
A $97 million combined middle-high school building at 400 Old County Road in Westport will be opening for the 2021-2022 school year.
